The world of filmmaker Victoria Linares is thrown for a loop when an offhand comment from her aunt reveals that she's related to Oscar Torres, a little-known queer Dominican director who blazed trails in Caribbean docufiction and leftist movements during the authoritarian 1940's. This unexpected revelation sends her down a path of self-inquiry and playful discovery. Throughout her research, Victoria will involve members of her family in elaborate re-enactments that aim to breach the divide between her long-lost cousin's political and creative vision, and her own ambitions as a maker of images.
